On the afternoon of June 25, Stephen Orlins, President of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations, visited the Huayang Center for Maritime Cooperation and Ocean Governance. Orlins toured the Huayang Center's Haikou office and the Huayang South China Sea Exhibition. Wu Shicun, Chairman of the Huayang Center and Chairman of the Academic Committee of the National Institute for South China Sea Studies, met with Orlins.

During his visit, Orlins also gave an exclusive interview to the Huayang Center, sharing his views on China–U.S. relations, the development of the Hainan Free Trade Port, and the China–U.S. Track II dialogue mechanism.
