On the afternoon of February 13, local time in Munich, Wu Shicun, Chairman of the Huayang Center for Maritime Cooperation and Ocean Governance was invited to attend the roundtable discussion on Indo-Pacific maritime security, and spoke on the maritime security risk and challenge of the Indo-Pacific region, the essence of the China-proposed Global Security Initiative, trust-building measures, and pathways to conflict prevention. Other participants included the Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines Theresa Lazaro, Secretary-General of ASEAN Kao Kim Hourn, and senior diplomatic officials of Germany. The session was moderated by Felix Heiduk from German Institute for International and Security Affairs. Wu Shicun also answered questions from the delegates on issues like the US-China maritime crisis management, COC negotiation, military cooperation between the United States and the Philippines.

On February 14, aside from attending the main conference, Wu Shicun also attended side conferences concerning China. During the event, Wu Shicun also accepted interview from Shenzhen Satellite TV, South China Morning Post, and Financial Times.
